Industry Branding, Benchmarking, Knowledge sharing & Networking.
These are the focus areas of ‘Acting Local, Winning Global 2013’
In other words, the strategies and tools that we create together to enable each of us to better compete locally and on the global stage.
Faced with a rapidly changing environment, ever-increasing demands to drive efficiency and ever-increasing competition for talent, our focus this year is on cooperation and competition.
Over two days we will bring together leaders in the shared services, outsourcing & IT space to explore the opportunities and challenges for the industry in the region.
We will draw on the collective wisdom in the room to identify and explore the strategies and tools that enable companies to compete at the local level and on the global stage.
We call this “Squaring the Circle” – the aspiration down the ages to reconcile seeming opposites, in this case, the necessary cooperation between competitors to better compete.
Ideas & Analysis
Morning Plenary sessions on both days will address the big issues which shape our industry locally and globally – the ongoing global economic crisis; the shifting social, political and economic impacts of the digital revolution, globalisation and the ongoing post-Communist transformation in CEE.
Keynotes addresses by leading international analysts and thought leaders will be complemented by panel discussions that will drill down to an understanding of what it means for us in relation to benchmarking, industry and employer branding, employee engagement, the legal environment and visioning the role of offshoring centres in business strategy .
Common Tools
Afternoon workshops will focus on local solutions.
On the first day, workshops will be organised in three streams: technology, people and processes.
The second day will conclude with sessions led by ASPIRE’s working groups, addressing areas identified by members as being of critical and urgent interest and requiring collaborative action, such as market information, sourcing candidates and talent management.
New Friends
ASPIRE has a well-deserved reputation for promoting openness and shared learning within the industry. Across both days of the conference, we aim to ensure plentiful opportunities for networking, relationship building and knowledge sharing.
Shared Learning
On the day before the conference, our members will be opening their doors to visitors with a series of site visits.
In the evening there will be a CEO panel in which cities, regions and potential investors will be invited to put their questions to our members on all matters regarding location – from site selection, to set up challenges and ongoing issues.
Expertise
Once again, our partners for the Annual Conference are PwC, the acknowledged leader in shared services advisory services in CEE, who have supported more than 100 global companies over 15 years to locate and grow their centres in the region.
